News of the Paralympic movement: the success of para-athletes in Birmingham and Berlin. For the first time, 5x5 football was held in Jizzakh

The past week was marked by a number of important news for the representatives of the Paralympic family. In particular, our para-judoists successfully performed in Birmingham, and para-swimmers — in Berlin. In addition, for the first time in the Jizzakh region, a 5x5 football tournament was held among blind athletes.

At the competition in Britain, the para-judoists of Uzbekistan managed to win 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. This result allowed our athletes to take the second place in the team competition. Also, our representatives have recorded valuable rating points of the Tokyo Paralympics on their account.

On the first day of the World Series tournament in Berlin, Shokhsanam Toshpulatova won gold, and Muzaffar Tursunkhuzhayev won bronze. Toshpulatova did not limit herself to one gold and during the tournament she successfully performed in the 200-meter swim in the complex direction, which allowed her to add another gold to the national team's piggy bank. Tursunkhuzhaev also won the silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke. In addition, Islom Asanov was awarded gold and Firdavs Musabekov-silver. Thus, the team of Uzbekistan won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
