Today, Deputy Chairman of the NOC, Chairman of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Kamilov celebrates his birthday.
Azizjon Yakubzhanovich Kamilov was born on June 19, 1984. Currently, he is the deputy chairman of the NOC and the chairman of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan.
During his activity in the country's judo federation, Azizjon Yakubdzhanovich implemented many promising projects aimed at the development of Uzbek judo. In particular, in 2019, the Grand Prix tournament was held in the capital's multifunctional ice complex "Humo Arena", in 2022, for the first time in the history of the country, Tashkent will host the World Judo Championship among adults. Thanks to the initiative of Azizjon Yakubdzhanovich, the Uzbek national team is currently headed by the legendary representative of world judo, the champion of the Athens-2004 Olympic Games, Ilias Iliadis, and in response to this, our judoists achieve significant results in prestigious competitions. It should be particularly noted that during his leadership, for the first time, a Grand Slam tournament was held in Tashkent, and also, the national team managed to update the record for the number of licenses won for the Olympic Games.
