Congratulations to the Deputy Chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov!
Today, Deputy Chairman of the NOC, Chairman of the WT Taekwondo Association of Uzbekistan Sherzod Tashmatov celebrates his birthday.
Sherzod Rikhsibaevich Tashmatov was born on June 5, 1979. He devoted most of his life to the development of Uzbek sports and as a professional sports manager successfully headed the Muay Thai Federation and the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan. Especially, his merits in the success of Uzbek boxers at the Rio 2016 Olympics are great. In the same year, he was awarded the Order of "Mehnat Shukhrati". Sherzod Tashmatov, also worked as the vice-president of the Asian Boxing Confederation and a member of the executive committee of the organization.
In 2019, he was elected deputy chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan. During the preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, Sherzod Tashmatov, as the head of the Operational Headquarters, was entrusted not only with the activities of the Taekwondo Association, but also with the entire delegation of Uzbekistan. It was during his leadership that, for the first time in the history of our country, four taekwondo athletes won licenses for Tokyo 2020.
