The NOC congratulates the cycling family on the World Bicycle Day!

April 2018. At the regular UN General Assembly, during the consideration of important issues, the conference participants approved the most acceptable project to improve human health and increase physical activity of the world's population — the popularization of cycling. And then June 3 was declared World Bicycle Day and since then this holiday has been widely celebrated in all corners of the world.

In turn, the development of cycling in Uzbekistan is rising to a new level every year. In particular, in 2019, the Asian Licensing Championship was successfully held in Tashkent, and two of our representatives, Olga Zabelinskaya and Murojon Halmuradov, also won licenses for the Tokyo Olympic Games. In our country, you can see how cycling is developing rapidly. Thanks to the support of the government of the country, the Cycling Federation, headed by Chairman Tanzila Norboeva, is implementing promising projects.

The Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan has set great goals for itself. In particular, for the first time, a professional club is being created under the federation. In the near future, a new BMX bike trail will be put into operation in the Jizzakh region. Undoubtedly, such innovations play a big role in the development of this sport in our country.

The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulates the cycling Federation and all cyclists, fans of this sport on the holiday.
