Our today's material is about the city of Zhangjiakou, which hosts the largest number of competition programs. First of all, it is worth noting that the city is located quite far from Beijing in Hebei province. In connection with the Olympic Games, a special high—speed train has been launched on the Beijing - Zhangjiakou route. Thus, the distance between 174 kilometers, which takes more than 3 hours by car, has been reduced to 47 minutes. High-speed trains of the latest world models run on this route, which move at a speed of 350 km/h.
Zhangjiakou Olympic Village will be able to accommodate 2,640 athletes and officials during the Olympics and Paralympics. At the end of the Games, the village will be transformed into a business district.
