"Kurash Week" brings joy to our compatriots
These days, a big wrestling festival is held all over the country. From December 13 to December 20, the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan declared "Kurash Week” in our country. Within the framework of the event, competitions in this discipline, seminars, meetings are organized on the ground aimed at popularizing the idea of a healthy lifestyle promoted by the President, instilling in our compatriots a spirit of respect for traditional values, as well as expanding the circle of people engaged in kurash.
It is noteworthy that a number of sports competitions are organized within the framework of the "Kurash Week". In particular, the republican tournament "Prosecutor's Office of Polvoni" was held in the Universal sports complex in Tashkent, in which the winners and prize-winners were determined. The opening ceremony of this sports festival was held in a solemn atmosphere and was full of artistic productions embodying our National traditions and customs. Speaking at the event, the head of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov emphasized the attention of our state to the support of Kurash and wished the participants of the competition good luck.
Today, within the framework of the week, the championship of Uzbekistan among law enforcement officers is scheduled, on December 18- an international tournament among students, on December 19-the republican tournament "Uzbek Polvoni", and on December 20 - competitions among clubs.
According to the press service of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan, as a result of the systematic holding of tournaments, it is planned to reach more than two thousand young people.
