The President of the Asian Shooting Confederation, Sheikh Salman Al Sabah, visited the NOC

Today, the president of the Asian Shooting Confederation, Sheikh Salmon Al Sabah, visited the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan. The distinguished guest was met by the Chairman of the NOC, Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov, and the Secretary General of the Committee, Oibek Kasimov.

First, the NOC leadership introduced the guests to the activities of the Committee and told them about the glorious history of Uzbek sports. Then, according to the plan, a meeting was held to discuss a number of issues. It is worth noting that Al-Sabah was accompanied by the Secretary General of this confederation, Duaj Al-Otaibi. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the Shooting Federation of Uzbekistan Oybek Norinbayev. At the beginning of his speech, Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov expressed satisfaction with Al Saba's visit.

“The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan is pleased to receive such a guest as you. We believe that this visit will further strengthen the warm relations between our national federation and the organization that you head. In our country, much attention is paid to promoting a healthy lifestyle and sports. With his support, a modern shooting center is being built in the Tashkent region. We believe that the further commissioning of this center will be a great incentive for the discovery of our new champions in this sport, " the head of the NOC said.

In turn, the high-ranking guest also expressed his readiness to help in the implementation of new ideas and plans.

“First of all, I would like to thank you for the warm welcome. It is a great honor for me to be in Uzbekistan. I first came to your country in 2006. Currently, the development of Uzbekistan has reached a colossal level. Indeed, the new shooting center under construction made a warm impression on me. It is not difficult to guess that its capabilities are high in all respects. We are ready to provide further assistance in improving the skills of Uzbek athletes and coaches,” Mr. Al Sabah said.

During the conversation, which took place in a warm atmosphere, such promising issues as bringing shooting sports to a new level in our country, the organization of numerous international events in Tashkent were discussed. At the end of the event, the guests were presented with memorable gifts of the NOC.
