Our wrestlers with belts who won prizes in Kazan were awarded
Our belt wrestlers play an important role in the success of our delegation at the first CIS Games held in Kazan. Today, the NOC held an award ceremony for wrestlers for belt places, who were among the winners and prize-winners of this competition, and a press conference before the international wrestling competition for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Romania. The event was opened by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Erkin Yuldashev, who congratulated our belt wrestlers on their achievements and expressed his warm wishes.
After that, our belt wrestlers who achieved success in Kazan, coaches, Federation officials, and media representatives were presented with memorable gifts. It is worth noting that our belt wrestlers, having won 7 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals in Kazan, made a worthy contribution to the promotion of our delegation to the highest step of the podium.
In the second part of the event, a press conference was held on the International Competition for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held on September 10-13 in the Romanian city of Constanta. The officials informed that our wrestlers will not participate in this tournament. This was explained as follows:
"The competitions will be held in the absolute weight category. We have a lot of experienced wrestlers. We are sure that by conducting them, our representatives will take prizes. Since our goal is to popularize wrestling all over the world, we should not allow our wrestlers to compete” " said Kamal Usmanov, head of the National Wrestling Development Department of the NOC.
