The residents of Maizuru support our judoists
Currently, the national judo team of Uzbekistan is conducting the final stage of preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the city of Maizuru. Today, the Mayor's Office of the city of Maizuru, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan and the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan organized a cultural event.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the NOC, head of the country's Judo Federation Azizjon Kamilov, representatives of the administration of the city of Maizuru, responsible person of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan Muzaffar Zhalilov and local residents.
The judoists of Uzbekistan held an open training session for those present. Then the main part of the event began. Local young fans used visual materials and supported the representatives of Uzbekistan, which greatly pleased our athletes. Also, a small exhibition was held, where guests could see Uzbek national clothes and peculiar traditions and customs.
It should be noted that the event was organized on the basis of a memorandum signed by the Mayor's Office of the city of Maizuru and the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan. At the end, Azizjon Kamilov presented the mayor of the city with a certificate of gratitude on behalf of the federation.
