Our academic rowers, who became prize-winners at the World Cup for the first time, returned to Tashkent

On July 7-11, the World U23 Rowing Championship was held in Rachitsa (Czech Republic). This competition was also attended by representatives of Uzbekistan, who managed to climb the podium of the World Championship for the first time. Today, the athletes returned to Tashkent.

The pair of Evgeny Agafonov and Shakhzoda Nurmatova, who participated in the BLM2 direction, finished third in the final. Thus, our rowers won a bronze medal. Representatives of the ROWING& CANOE Federation, relatives and friends of athletes and the media took part in the welcoming ceremony, which took place at the Islam Karimov International Airport.

The representatives who met our athletes congratulated them on such a historic result, and wished them to achieve even greater victories in the future.
