The licensees of the Olympiad and their judo coaches were awarded
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports held an award ceremony for judoists who won licenses for Tokyo 2020 and their coaches.
The event was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, the leadership of the NOC headed by Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, representatives of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, judoists and their parents, coaches, the media.
First, the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Abduvakhidov read the Presidential Decree on awarding the representative of the national judo team of Uzbekistan Gulnoza Matniazova with the "Shukhrat" medal and presented the award to the judoka.
In a solemn ceremony, the licensees of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games (7 men and 3 women) and their coaches were awarded cash certificates. Judoists received certificates for 100 million rubles.sum, and their mentors-for 50 million soums. Davlat Bobonov and Gulnoza Matniyazova, as well as the coach of the national team Uktam Rakhmonov, spoke on behalf of the judoists and promised to justify the trust placed in them and perform worthily at the Olympic Games.
At the end of the event, the chairman of the NOC talked with each judoka and wished them good luck in Tokyo 2020.
For information, for the first time in the history of judo of the country, 10 of our judoists will take part in the Olympic Games. Also, for the first time, we won the chance to participate in the team-mix direction. Tomorrow, the delegation of the national team will leave for Maizuru for the final stage of preparation.
