Today at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic glory took place a special event of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games Paris-2024. The event was attended by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the Cycling Federation of the country Tanzila Narbayeva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of the State Security Service, Head of the Football Association of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Azizov, Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, leadership of the Ministry of Sports led by Adham Ikramov, as well as heads of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, athletes, coaches, media workers.

Opening ceremony, Tanzila Kamalovna noted that under the leadership of the President of our country pays great attention to women’s sports and increases the number of athletes who will perform at the Olympic Games. In turn, Abdullah Nigmatovich mentioned that thanks to the support of the Head of State in recent years, the country held world championships in such sports as Weightlifting, Boxing, Judo, and this year Uzbekistan will take the world championship in Futsal, as well as on the organization of the Asian Youth Games in 2025 in Tashkent, the construction of the Olympic city for the conduct of such a large-scale competition. At the end of his speech, the Prime Minister said that Uzbekistan has already turned into a world sports power.

Then World Judo champion Muzaffarbek Turaboev and World Youth Boxing champion Nigina Uktamova spoke on behalf of the athletes. The athletes expressed that thanks to the attention provided by the State, they received cash prizes for the licences they won and of course this will be a great motivation for them before the Paris 2024 Olympics. The athletes also expressed gratitude to the President for the created conditions. First Vice-President of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan Gözal Muminova on behalf of all sports Federations and Associations of the country thanked the Government for the assistance and support provided.

Then, on behalf of the coaches, the head coach of the Uzbek football team Timur Kapadze said that the football players will try to win awards at the Olympics and please our President, as well as all fans of the country.

During the event there was also a ceremonial presentation of the official outfit of the national team of Uzbekistan Paris-2024, which was created by one of the sponsors of the Uzbek delegation – 7SABER company. All the athletes and coaches liked the new uniform.

The flag of Uzbekistan was also ceremonially handed over to the flag bearers of the Uzbek delegation at the upcoming Olympic Games – World Boxing champion Abdumalik Khalokov and Asian Games Fencing champion Zainab Dayibekova.

At the event, the poet, member of the Union of Uzbek Writers Nodir Jonusok read a poem that he wrote for our athletes.

Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports Bakhodir Makhsitov on behalf of all elders wished our athletes to worthily defend the honor of our country in the upcoming competitions and return to the homeland with new victories.

Thus, the ceremony has come to an end. According to the plan, tomorrow, from 3 July, our athletes will start leaving for France for the final training near Paris. Recall, the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games Paris-2024 will be held from 26 July to 11 August.
