For the first time in our country, cycling competitions were held among kindergarten students
On the initiative of the Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Preschool Education and the representative office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), a bicycle race was organized in Uzbekistan dedicated to the International Children's Day, in which 65 boys and girls took part.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan Tanzila Norbayeva noted that favorable conditions have been created in the country for the upbringing of the younger generation and their health and harmonious development. She noted that such events play an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, in educating our children with a love of sports from an early age.
Indeed, the environment, the involvement of children and young people in sports, the popularization of sports among the population are important issues that are in the focus of our government's attention.
"In order to fulfill these tasks, a memorandum was signed with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Preschool Education and the OSCE mission in Uzbekistan on providing preschoolers with modern running bikes — without a pedal bike for children and holding the "First Children's Bike Marathon in Uzbekistan". The memorandum provides for the gradual provision of preschool institutions in all regions of the country with running bikes from 2021, " said Secretary General of the Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan Kozim Urinboykhuzhayev.
As part of the project, the first 400 running bikes were transferred to 13 preschool institutions in Tashkent. Today, the pupils of these preschool educational institutions also took part in the event. According to the Memorandum, regular competitions will now be held among kindergarten students.
The contest, which was held under the motto "Green step into the future" among preschoolers, will remain in the memory of the participants for a long time.
At the end of the event, the children were awarded with medals and gifts, entertainment programs were organized for them.
