"They will defend the honor of the country in Tokyo": silver medalist of the Youth Olympics Ulugbek Rashitov, will take part in Tokyo 2020

We continue our project "They will defend the honor of the country in Tokyo". This time we have prepared a material about a young and talented taekwondo practitioner Ulugbek Rashitov.

Rashitov Ulugbek Ismatullayevich was born on March 23, 2002 in Tashkent. Since 2008, he has been engaged in taekwondo. The first coach is Pavel Khan. And he is currently training under the guidance of this specialist.

In 2014, he won the national championship among cadets and was accepted into the national team in this category. Since 2017, he began to achieve success in the international arena.

In 2018, at the World Junior Championships in Tunisia, the taekwondo athlete took 3rd place. This result allowed Rashitov to become a participant of the Youth Olympics in Argentina. In these Games, he won a silver medal.

In 2019, at the Asian Junior Championship, then, in the same year, at the World Military Games in China, Ulugbek Rashitov became the winner.

At the licensed tournament that took place in May of this year, he won a license for the Tokyo Olympics in the weight category -68 kg.
