Abdullayev Muminjon Rustamovich was born on December 24, 1989 in Samarkand. The first coach is Sharof Mamatkulov.

The wrestler performs in the weight category — 130 kg. He achieved his first success as a member of the national team in 2010. Abdullayev won a bronze medal at the Asian Championship in India in the 96 kg weight category. Then he moved to the weight category of 130 kg and after a small adaptation process began to achieve significant success. Among his achievements, it can be noted that Abdullayev won a license for the London 2012 Olympics.

During his professional career, he became a silver medalist at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, as well as the Islamic Solidarity Games. In 2018, he was awarded silver in the continental championship. At the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, he managed to overcome all his rivals and win a gold medal.
