Sherzod Tashmatov and the coaching staff discussed plans for preparing for the Olympics
For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, our taekwondo athletes have won 4 licenses for the Olympic Games. This means that the fans will expect high results from the athletes. Deputy Chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the WT Taekwondo Association of Uzbekistan Sherzod Tashmatov has started a new stage of preparation for the Olympic Games together with the coaching staff of the association.
By now, licensed competitions in this sport have already been completed and the names of the participants of the Olympiad are known. During the meeting, opinions were expressed about the alleged rivals of our Taekwondo athletes, about their advantages and weaknesses. It should be noted that one of the coaches, who was insufficiently prepared for the meeting, was harshly criticized and received a warning that if such a case happens again, he will be suspended from preparing for the Olympics.
In a few more days, the Asian Championship among adults will start in Lebanon and our national team will take part in this competition with a full team. This championship will once again allow you to evaluate the training of licensees before the start of the Olympiad.
During the meeting, the coaching staff was given appropriate instructions to strengthen the technical and functional condition of the athletes, to keep the epidemiological situation on the basis of the national team under strict control, to perform tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
