70 percent of Tokyo 2020 licenses have already been distributed
There are 67 days left before the start of the most important sporting events of the quadrennial — the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the distribution of 70 percent of Tokyo 2020 licenses.
Thus, more than 7800 athletes have already become participants of the upcoming Olympics. The remaining quotas will be drawn according to the ratings, as well as through qualification competitions.
At the same time, in football, water polo, wrestling, track and highway cycling, handball, field hockey, volleyball, rock climbing, diving, equestrian sports, the distribution of permits has already been completed. By July 5, licenses for all sports will already be fully distributed.
We remind you that so far the delegation of Uzbekistan has won 41 licenses for the Olympic and 16 licenses for the Paralympic Games. The Olympic Games in Tokyo will be held from July 23 to August 8, and the Paralympics - from August 24 to September 5.
