A new record of Uzbekistan has been set
The international memorial tournament in athletics has ended in the capital. The competition lasted for two days and along with representatives of Uzbekistan, athletes from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan also took part.
It should be noted that the tournament was watched by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his first deputy Ravshan Irmatov. The participants of the competition had a chance to win a Tokyo 2020 license by meeting the Olympic standard.
As a result, not a single athlete was able to fulfill the Olympic standard, but some winners recorded valuable rating points to their account. In particular, in the hammer throwing sector, Zarina Nosirzhonova set a result of 64.22 m. This became a new record of Uzbekistan among young people and adults. In the same direction, Sukhrob Khuzhaev showed a result of 75.30 m. (He was not enough for the Olympic standard of 2.3 meters).
