Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov got acquainted with the plans of taekwondo training
The visit of the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmonov to the bases of the national teams continues. This time, the head of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan visited the WT Taekwondo Association.
It is known that the national team in this discipline performed successfully at the international G2 tournament in Fujairah (UAE), taking first place in the team competition. The head of the NOC, who initially watched the training of our martial artists, congratulated them on their victory and wished them good luck in the upcoming competitions. After that, a meeting was held with the officials of the Association and the coaching staff.
"The Association has formed a strong team with many years of experience. Thanks to the plans of Chairman Sherzod Tashmatov, we managed to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games. But we must not stop there. We see that there is a huge competition all over the world. The health of every athlete is important to us. We held a meeting with officials of the RNCSM under our Committee to take strict control of the health status of all our athletes. I think that such actions will soon bear fruit. Thanks to the support of the state, a systematic plan and iron discipline, we will be able to achieve any goal," said Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.
During the conversation, the plans for thorough preparation in each weight category for the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou this year were discussed in detail. In this regard, the head of the NOC gave his instructions on the preparation of strong reserve athletes together with the main staff, as well as further strengthening of medical and biological support.
