Our handball players could not win a ticket to the World Cup
As we reported earlier, the Uzbekistan men's national handball team is currently taking part in the Asian Championship in Saudi Arabia. By this time, the names of the participants of the semifinal matches became known.
Our athletes, who made it to the top eight, lost in the second group stage to the teams of Qatar, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Thus, domestic handball players could not get into the top five, giving a ticket to the 2023 World Cup.
Now the national team of Uzbekistan will fight for the seventh place with Kuwait, which occupies the last place in the other quartet.
