Tashkent will host the Youth Para Asian Games in 2025

In our country, special attention is paid to creating the necessary conditions for people with disabilities to play sports, ensuring and supporting their decent standing in the international sports arena.

In particular, the signing by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of the resolution "On additional measures for the development of the Paralympic movement” and the creation of the Paralympic Committee on its basis in our country opened the way for the popularization of Paralympic sports, the identification of talented athletes and a new training system.

As a result of the attention paid to this area, Tashkent will host the Para-Asian Youth Games for the first time in 2025. This is stated in a letter sent by the President of the Asian Paralympic Committee Majid Rashid to the Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

In May of this year, the President of the Asian Paralympic Committee Majid Rashid visited our country. During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan-Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov met with the guest of honor and put forward a proposal to hold the 2025 Continental Para-Asian Games in our capital.

Recently, the Asian Paralympic Committee announced its final decision on this issue, according to which Tashkent was presented as the host country of the 2025 Continental Para-Asian Youth Games.

It should be noted that several leading countries of our continent applied to host the IV Para-Asian Youth Games in 2025. As a result, the Asian Paralympic Committee supported the candidacy of the city of Tashkent. It is worth noting that special attention is paid to the development of Paralympic sports in our country, in connection with which the President signed a special decree in which special attention is paid to the issue of comprehensive support and encouragement of athletes with disabilities.

By the way, the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parsons, who recently visited our country, also noted that Uzbekistan has the potential to host the most prestigious competitions in Paralympic sports.

It is noteworthy that so far no country has held Asian and Para-Asian Youth Games in a row. In 2025, Tashkent will become exactly the city where these prestigious starts will take place one after another.
