A master class from an 83-year-old kurash sports veteran
Currently, a number of works are being carried out to further popularize the National sport — kurash, not only in our country, but also around the world. One of these projects was launched by the International Kurash Institute.
In order to learn more deeply the secrets of this discipline, international seminars are organized for trainers from East Asian countries: China, Macau, Chinese Taipei, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. An online seminar was opened today at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan. It was attended by the Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, Rector of UZHMKUZ, Vice-President of the International Kurash Association Sherzod Kudratkhodjaev, head of the Confederation of Kurash Asia and Oceania Kamil Ruziev, representatives of the Institute of International Kurash, local coaches and young athletes. The head of the NOC spoke at the event and spoke about the development of kurash.
“It is no secret that under the leadership of our esteemed President, along with all kinds of sports, special attention is paid to the development of Uzbek national wrestling — kurash. Due to this, this discipline is becoming increasingly popular at the global level. Currently, the Kurash International Institute is actively and fruitfully active. It can be said that the scientific conference being held today will be one of the important steps towards the development of the National Sport. This seminar is of invaluable importance for training specialists, improving their qualifications that meet modern requirements”" Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov said.
The seminar was organized in an online format for foreign trainers. The observers were particularly impressed by the master classes shown within its framework based on the rich experience of the 2-time world champion among veterans, the Honored Coach of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 83-year-old Abdurashid Mirzayev. Also, within the framework of the event, in order to further promote the National sport, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan and the International Kurash Institute.
