The plan of preparation of the RNPCSM for important four-year starts was discussed
A meeting of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine at the NOC was held today, dedicated to the preparation plans for the Hangzhou-2022 Asian Games and the Paris-2024 Olympic Games. The event was attended by the head of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his deputy Sherzod Tashmatov, Director of the RNCSM Abdushukur Sadykov, doctors of the Center, as well as specialists of Federations and Associations.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the NOC and focused on the role of the medical field in the development of Uzbek sports.
“We were preparing during a very difficult period in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle. At this stage, I would like to thank you once again for the tremendous work that you are doing during the difficult time that has developed due to the pandemic. The current situation is also difficult. New strains and diseases are spreading and complicating our work. With the support of the President, in addition to doctors, regular units of nutritionists, psychologists and massage therapists have been created in our Federations. We will continue such comprehensive training in the future. Do not forget that sports medicine also plays a special role in the comprehensive development of the New Uzbekistan”" Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov said.
In turn, the management of the NOC was instructed to study the existing problems and shortcomings in this industry, eliminate them, develop the pharmaceutical direction, strengthen control at the bases.
After that, Abdushukur Sadikov read out a report on the activities of the Center in the past Olympic cycle and shared new plans. According to him, from January 1 next year, a call center will start functioning in the center, which will work 24 hours a day. This contact center, which has the number 1193, will serve not only for our National teams, but also for the citizens of the country, bringing together specialists of general orientation, psychologists and other narrow specialties.
During the meeting, a comprehensive exchange of views on the topics covered took place.
