The Chairman of the NOC held an online conversation with representatives of the Fencing Federation
Currently, representatives of our sabre and rapier fencing team are conducting training camps at a base near the city of Angren, Tashkent region. Today, the chairman of the NOC and the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov visited the Federation, talked online with the teams undergoing training in Yangiabad, and discussed the upcoming plans.
The online meeting was also attended by the coach of our national team, 3-time winner of the Olympic Games Vladimir Nazlimov, who is at the TCB in the Tashkent region.
"The state has created all the necessary conditions for our athletes to prepare for the Hangzhou-2022 Asian Games and the Paris-2024 Olympic Games. In turn, our team will be given a specific task before it goes to any international competitions. The domestic youth performed well at the World Cup stages. Now at this rate we will continue to prepare them for the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024," the head of the NOC said.
Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, speaking with mentors about the work carried out according to the plan, gave instructions to improve the physical condition of athletes. He also strongly announced the strengthening of control at sports bases in order to protect our athletes from a new strain of coronavirus, which is currently widespread throughout the world.
