At the meeting of the heads of NOC of Uzbekistan and Albania, issues of mutual cooperation were discussed
A number of guests are visiting our capital within the framework of the World Championship among adults in weightlifting in Tashkent. Within the framework of this prestigious competition, the delegation headed by the president of the Albanian Olympiad was a guest at the Moq.
The delegation was headed by Fidel Yelli, President of the Albanian Olympiad. They were greeted by Chairman of the committee Rustam Shoabdurahmonov and Secretary General Oybek Kasimov. The first place of the chairman of the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan Shahrullo Mahmudov also took part in the meeting.
At the beginning of the visit, a small excursion was organized along the National Olympiad building of Uzbekistan. After that, a meeting dedicated to the issues of cooperation was held at the Museum of Uzbekistan. In a friendly conversation, Rustam Shoabdurahmonov expressed his warm wishes to the guests.
“The gold medals that our weightlifters have won in the last Olympic Games are not spontaneous. Behind this, there is a huge amount of attention of the president and the state to sports. Prior to that, Uzbekistan had won World Championships in weightlifting, junior and Junior Championships, Asian Championships among adults and other prestigious competitions. With a tremendous experience accumulated, we accept the world first among adults. Of course, all this is being organized with the support of our government,” said the head of the MOQ.
In turn, the president of the Albanian Olympiad Rustam Shoabdurahmonov expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and expressed his positive thoughts about the achievements of Uzbek sport. He also put forward proposals for the establishment of strong cooperation relations and the signing of a memorandum of understanding. In response, the chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan expressed satisfaction with the development of such cooperation.
