Issues of development of mutual cooperation were discussed at the General Assembly

The regular General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), which is being held by the Greek island of Crete, has come to its conclusion. During the second day of the Assembly, the participants discussed a number of issues.

As we reported earlier, the event is attended by a delegation headed by the Secretary General of the NOC of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov. During the event, our representatives met with IOC President Thomas Bach, acting Head of the IOC Robin Mitchell and Secretary General of the Organization Gunilla Lindberg, President of the World Taekwondo Federation WT Chungwon Choi, President of the International Archery Federation and the IOC of Turkey Ugur Erdener, First Vice-President of the World Athletics Federation and President of the IOC of Ukraine Sergey Bubka, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov and a number of other high-ranking leaders, the assembly exchanged views on the issues raised, there was also a conversation on further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation. Our officials also met with the heads of the NOC of the CIS, Baltic States and Georgia, who took part in the Assembly, and invited them to the international forum, which will be held on November 2-4 in Tashkent.

In conclusion, on behalf of our committee, gratitude was expressed to the leadership of ANOC for the successful holding of the Organization's General Assembly in Navba, and to the President of the Greek NOC Spyros Kapralos for organizing the event at a high level and gifts were presented. During the meeting, Oybek Kasimov expressed gratitude to the NOC of Uzbekistan for continuing deep friendly relations with this international organization.
