The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulates our junior weightlifting team on their successful participation in the World Championships in Saudi Arabia.
As you know, weightlifting is one of the favorite sports of the youth of our country. For the younger generation, the winners and record holders of the Olympic Games Ruslan Nurudinov and Akbar Juraev are a real role model. The competition in Saudi Arabia once again shows that a number of successes await Uzbek weightlifting in the future. Of course, this is also the merit of the representatives of the federation and the coaching staff. This is the result of their painstaking work.
Young athletes of Uzbekistan demonstrated their talent among representatives of about 100 countries and won 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. According to the results of the team competition, our guys took third place. Especially, the absolute victory of Kurbonmurod Namozov testifies to his brilliant future.
