As part of the Veterans Week, events were held in Samarkand
For several days now, a Week of Veterans has been held in all corners of the country. In particular, events were held in Samarkand.
By the decision of the regional khokimiyat, cultural events, as well as sports competitions were held in many districts of Samarkand in order to strengthen the health of veterans and increase their physical activity. In particular, mass walking, as well as chess and checkers competitions are organized in Kattakurgan, Nurabad, Akdarya.
As part of the week, Yuri Gospodarchuk, one of the famous coaches, mentor of such famous Uzbek football stars as Mirzhalol Kasymov, Shukhrat Maksudov and Sergey Andreev, was awarded the badge "Veteran of Sports of Uzbekistan".
