Attention to strengthening the spiritual outlook of our athletes will be further strengthened
Dear President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev pays great attention to our youth at recent meetings, especially to raising their spirituality. Undoubtedly, there is merit in this and the sports direction. In particular, one of the main tasks facing us is to spend the free time of young people in sports, their physical training.
However, it is no secret that recently a number of situations that arise with our athletes leave much to be desired. Our guys, who defended the honor of our country at a number of prestigious competitions, on the international arena, continue to get involved in street fights. Today, the NOC hosted an event with the participation of officials of relevant organizations, representatives of federations and associations to prevent such cases. It was attended by the Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov and his first deputy Ravshan Irmatov, Chairman of the Council of Sports Veterans of Uzbekistan Bahodir Mahsitov, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Mahalla and Family Support, the Federation of Trade Unions, the Nuroniy Foundation, sports federations and associations.
The event was opened by Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov and focused on the relevance of the topic.
"Indeed, this is a very relevant topic. The President of our country also pays great attention to this direction. We must occupy the minds of our youth, Free time with sports, spirituality. There are plenty of examples from history, if we are not engaged in the leisure of our youth, others are engaged in this business. Therefore, we ask you to pay serious attention to this, to organize meaningful leisure activities for our athletes in each of the national teams”" the head of the NOC said.
Also during the event, the specialists of the sphere informed about the work carried out under the leadership of the government of our country in this direction, the programs being implemented. As a result of the meeting, instructions were given to strengthen the spiritual and educational direction in each of our federations, to develop appropriate programs, and the continuation of such events was agreed.
