The President of the Russian Olympic Committee arrived in Tashkent
Today, the President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov arrived in Tashkent. The guest of honor at the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov was met by the Chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and the Secretary General of the Committee Oibek Kasymov.
The head of the ROC is accompanied by the Chairman of the Olympic Council of Novosibirsk Igor Korotnev. During the day, the guests also visited the NOC, got acquainted with the rich history of Uzbek sports. During the meeting of the heads of the ROC and the NOC of Uzbekistan, according to the signed memorandum, the parties discussed further strengthening of cooperation in the development of sports between the two countries, increasing joint training camps between national teams. The exchange of achievements in sports medicine and science was also considered.
During the visit, the guest got acquainted with the construction works that are being carried out in our country. In particular, he visited the "New Uzbekistan" park, the "Tashkent City" complex and a number of other facilities, and also got acquainted with the project of the Olympic Village, which is provided for the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025".
