The commander of the National Guard was elected Chairman of the Archery Federation of Uzbekistan
An extraordinary conference of the Archery Federation of Uzbekistan was held today at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports A.aBdukhakimov, Commander of the National Guard, Major General R.Juraev, the leadership of the NOC headed by R.Shoabdurakhmonov, representatives of responsible organizations, delegates with voting rights, as well as coaches and other specialists.
It was noted at the meeting that the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially young people, the creation of the necessary infrastructure and favorable conditions for their sports, the further development of archery in our country and ensuring the worthy participation of the country's athletes in the international sports arena are among the most pressing issues today, targeted measures should be implemented in this direction.
At the same time, the speakers at the meeting emphasized that archery is a national sport, and noted that the attention paid to this sport will contribute to the revival of national values and, consequently, further strengthen the sense of patriotism in the hearts of young people, which is the main criterion for the reforms of our state in this direction.
After that, in accordance with the agenda, a report on the work done by the federation was heard, after which the candidacy of the commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Zhuraev was proposed for the post of chairman of the Archery Federation and unanimously approved by the delegates.
In conclusion, the newly elected Chairman of the Federation thanked the participants for their trust and noted that in accordance with the requirements of the Decree of the Head of our State dated June 17, 2021, he will make every effort to popularize and develop shooting sports.
Having familiarized with the summary and content of the plan of further events, he noted that the main attention will be paid to winning licenses for the Olympic Games in Paris and winning prizes by our athletes.
Recall that the commander of the National Guard was appointed chairman of the Federation of hand-to-hand combat of law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan in September 2020. Also, at the initiative of the Commander of the National Guard, the Functional All-Around Federation was created in August of this year.
