Today, the grand opening of a specialized judo hall meeting all modern requirements, built jointly by the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the Judo Federation of the country, took place at the secondary school No. 7 of the city of Samarkand.

The festive event was attended by the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Judo Federation of the country Azizjon Kamilov, deputy khokim of the Samarkand region for tourism, sports, culture, cultural heritage and mass Communications - head of the Main Department of Tourism and Sports Botirjon Nurullayev, judoists led by the head coach of the national team Ilias Iliadis.

This hall is built taking into account all modern requirements and is equipped with men's and women's dressing rooms, showers, an autonomous heating system and high-quality tatami mats.

"Taking this opportunity, I want to thank the governor of the Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov. Thanks to the support of Erkinjon Okbutaevich, judo belonging to the Olympic family, along with other sports, is becoming increasingly popular, and the results of the judoists of the region at domestic and international competitions are becoming worthy of attention. Judoists such as Davlet Babanov, Mukhammadkarim Khurramov, brothers Sardor and Kemran Nurillaev, Diera Keldierova are pupils of the Samarkand region. We are confident that these successes will continue. Dear teachers, students, may this beautiful hall be blessed by you!- said Azizjon Kamilov.

Recall that during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the regions, instructions were given for the construction of light-weight sports facilities (sandwich panels). These good deeds, initiated jointly by the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Education, are a reflection of these reforms. By the end of the year, specialized judo halls with a similar lightweight design will be put into operation in several more regions.
