Hangzhou-2022, Paris-2024: meeting on the development of a training strategy
Today, an online meeting was held via the ZOOM platform to further strengthen preparations for the Asian Games in Hangzhou-2022 and the Olympic Games in Paris-2024. It was attended by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov, the deputy chairman of the NOC for tourism and sports Avaz Karimov, the deputy chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov, representatives of federations and associations, coaches.
The event was held by Sherzod Tashmatov, who told about the stages of preparation for these competitions, as well as about plans.
"Tokyo 2020 is over, and this has become history. Now we have to start preparing for the next Olympic Games. Boise is less than 3 years away from Paris-2024. The Asian Games will also be held in Hangzhou next year. Many of our young people now want to become athletes. The reason is that the president gives our athletes great motivation. We must use this effectively, justify their trust, " Sherzod Tashmatov said.
Also during the event, First Deputy Chairman of the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan Shakhrullo Makhmudov, director of the Republican School of Higher Sports Skills in Game Sports Zhasur Akramov exchanged views with the leadership of the Ministry and the Committee on studying international experience in such areas as modern sports medicine, methodology, management, analysis of recent achievements. The topic of further strengthening of attention to team sports was touched upon separately. At the same time, the coaches who participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 expressed their opinion about the shortcomings and mistakes made at the competitions.
It is worth noting that in 2022, our athletes will face a number of major complex competitions. In particular, the Asian Martial Arts and Indoor Arts Games in Thailand are expected in March, the Islamic Solidarity Tournament in Turkey in August, the Asian Games in China in September, and the Asian Youth Games in December. Undoubtedly, due to the high level of preparation for these competitions, we are facing responsible tournaments in 2022. In conclusion, recommendations were made on the development of their own plan for the strategy of preparation for the Asian Games Hangzhou-2022 and the Olympic Games in Paris-2024.
