Heroes of the first CIS Games were solemnly welcomed
From September 4 to 11 of this year, the First CIS Games were held in Kazan, Russia. The delegation of Uzbekistan that participated in it, having won 23 gold, 32 silver and 36 bronze medals, a total of 91 medals, took second place in the team competition after the hosts. Our delegation, which participated in this competition, returned to their homeland. The solemn ceremony, held in Terminal 3 of the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Behzod Musayev, the IOC leadership headed by Rustam Shoabdurakhmonov, employees of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, numerous fans and relatives of athletes.
Our young athletes were solemnly welcomed at the airport. The event was opened by Aziz Abdukhakimov and Behzod Musayev. On the spot, the responsible persons congratulated the young athletes on their achievements and wished them success and success in their future activities. People's Artist of Uzbekistan Tesha Muminov, member of the Writers ' Union of Uzbekistan, poet Gairat Majid also sent their warm wishes.
After that, the winners and prize-winners of the first CIS Games were presented with a gift from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to him, athletes who won gold medals were awarded 25 million, their mentors-12.5 million, silver medalists-15 million, their coaches-7.5 million, bronze medalists-10 million, their coaches-5 million soums. A special atmosphere of solemnity was given by the melodies performed by a number of bright representatives of our stage.
Then the participants of the event took a ride around the capital on dedicated double-decker special buses in the direction of the IOC. They were applauded by many of our nurses on the streets of our capital.
The logical conclusion of the solemn ceremony was the premises of the NOC. On it, our delegation, being a team, was photographed for memory and a flash mob with their participation was recorded.
