In particular, the article mentions the issue related to the open licensed championship and the Cup of Uzbekistan in swimming, as well as the situation with the replacement of the flag bearer of the delegation of Uzbekistan before the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (previously, Oksana Chusovitina was supposed to be the flag bearer). In addition, the issues of Chusovitina's non-election to the IOC athletes ' commission, the lack of analytical publications about the federations that participated in the Olympics were raised.

In particular, the Committee demanded that the Presidium of the Swimming Federation of Uzbekistan temporarily remove the General Secretary of the Federation from his post, create a special working group from among representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the NOC, the Council of Sports Veterans of Uzbekistan and the Swimming Federation of Uzbekistan. The Working Group will fully analyze the situation in September this year.
After the return of our delegation from the Olympic Games on August 19, a press conference was held at the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. At the press conference, the Secretary General of the committee, Oibek Kassymov, gave detailed answers to all questions, including the situation related to the replacement of the flag bearer of our delegation.
The 138th session of the IOC was held during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Four athletes were elected to the IOC Athletes ' Commission. As previously reported, our compatriot Oksana Chusovitina was among the 30 candidates. The voting took place during the Olympic Games. The International organization, in order to ensure transparency, did not allow any delegation to interfere in the voting process. As a result, the names of four candidates who were elected to the Commission were announced. Unfortunately, our compatriot was not among them.
It should be noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the cycle of preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games lasted 5 years. The performances of our athletes starting from September 7 will be analyzed in detail in the context of federations. Qualified and experienced foreign specialists will also be involved in the audit process. After the completion of these works, the results will be published in official sources.
