The Paralympians of Uzbekistan went to Tokyo

As you know, the XVI Summer Paralympic Games will be held in Tokyo from August 24 to September 5 this year. Today, the National Paralympic Committee held a solemn ceremony before the departure of our Paralympians to the capital of Japan.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, athletes and their parents, coaches and the media.

The ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva. Tanzila Kamalovna wished good luck to our para-athletes at the XVI Summer Paralympic Games, urged them to return to our country with bright victories, use all their opportunities to justify the trust of our people and our President, and expressed her sincere wishes.

Then Abdulla Aripov wished our athletes strength at the Summer Paralympic Games and said that our dear President and millions of fans expect only victories from them.

After that, Tanzila Narbayeva and Aziz Abdukhakimov solemnly handed over the state flag to the chairman of the National Paralympic Committee, Mukhtorkhon Taskhodzhayev. Then the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was played.

The ceremony was attended by para-athletes Muhammad Rehsimov and Shakhnoza Mirzayeva, on behalf of all Paralympians they expressed gratitude to our President for the high attention paid to the development of the Paralympic movement, and noted that by the 30th anniversary of Independence, the countries will return with high results.

At the end of the event, Chairman of the Council of Sports Veterans of Uzbekistan Bahodir Mahsitov sincerely wished good luck and bright victories to the members of our delegation.
