Today, the famous representative of Uzbek sports, the five-time best referee of Asia in football, Ravshan Irmatov, celebrates his birthday.
Ravshan Saifuddinovich Irmatov was born on August 9, 1977. The FIFA referee, is the record holder for the number of matches of the FIFA World Cups. Our compatriot played 5 matches at the World Cup South Africa-2010, 4 matches at the World Cup Brazil-2014 and 2 matches at the World Cup in Russia (a total of 11 matches). He has also been a referee at several World Cups among clubs, matches of the Asian Cup and the Asian Champions League, as well as in many other prestigious competitions. In 2015, he was recognized as the best referee in the world. For his services, he was awarded the orders "Buyuk Hizmatlari uchun" and "El-yurt Khurmati" , as well as the honorary title "Uzbekistan Iftikhori". Currently, he is the first deputy chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the first vice-president of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.
