Laser Run City Tour tournament held in Tashkent to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence
The first stage of the Laser Run City Tour 2026 tournament in running and laser shooting, disciplines of modern pentathlon, was held at Tashkent City Park to mark the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov and Chairman of the Uzbekistan Modern Pentathlon Federation Bakhromjon Gaziyev took part in the opening ceremony. They congratulated the young athletes on the country’s main national holiday.
More than 300 amateur athletes took part in the competition, including 120 children and teenagers. The young participants had the opportunity to become more familiar with two disciplines of modern pentathlon. At the end of the tournament, all participants received commemorative gifts.
