A meeting dedicated to the further development of ice hockey in Uzbekistan was held today. Odil Abdurahmanov, the representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for sports, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation Bakhodir Gafurov exchanged views on priority issues.

The meeting discussed in detail the creation of better conditions for young people to take up ice hockey, strengthening infrastructure, creating the necessary conditions for the youth and senior national teams to move up to the top divisions of the World Championship, and ensuring their participation in the Winter Asian Games.

The strengthening of club activities, talent selection, and the training of qualified trainers and coaches were also discussed.
