Tokyo 2020: Akbar Juraev is the champion and record holder of the Olympic Games
Our weightlifter Akbar Juraev won a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
In the snatch exercise, he showed a result of 193 kg and was 2 kg behind his main competitor Simon Martirosyan. However, in the push exercise, he beat Martirosyan by a large margin and won the Tokyo 2020 gold. Also, Juraev has updated the Olympic record! The result of the double event is 430 kg!
