FIFA President Gianni Infantino Visits the Olympic City
As part of his visit to Tashkent, FIFA President Gianni Infantino was introduced to the latest large-scale sports projects being implemented in Uzbekistan. The distinguished guest toured the Olympic City and reviewed its modern sports facilities.
He was accompanied by the Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, and the First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Otabek Umarov. Mr. Infantino highly praised the complex, built at the initiative of the Head of State. In particular, he was impressed by the “Olympia” Stadium, which will host the final match of the CAFA Nations Cup later today.
Later in the day, Mr. Infantino is expected to visit the National Football Center.
