In the Swiss city of Lausanne, another stage of one of the most prestigious athletics tournaments — the Diamond League — was held. It is pleasing to note that our compatriot Anvar Anvarov won a gold medal.

The Uzbek athlete showed a result of 7.84 meters, becoming the best in the competition. Second place went to the host of the tournament Simon Ehammer (7.72 m), and the bronze medalist was the 2019 World Champion from Jamaica Tajay Gayle (7.71 m).

Thus, Anvar Anvarov became the second representative of Uzbekistan to achieve victory in Diamond League tournaments, after Safina Sadullaeva.
