Tashkent-born athlete Anvar Anvarov took bronze in the men’s long jump at the Gyulai István Memorial – Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix in Budapest, part of the World Athletics Gold series. In a field featuring Olympic and world champions, Anvarov leaped 8.05 meters in his final attempt to secure third place and valuable ranking points towards qualification for next month’s World Championships in Tokyo.
