The second stage of the “Olympic Peaks of New Uzbekistan” competitions, aimed at identifying and supporting young sports talents, is set to begin soon. Today, a video conference chaired by Odil Abdurakhmanov, the Presidential Representative for Sports, discussed preparations for this stage.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, and representatives of sports federations. Reports were presented on the results of the first stage, as well as on preparations of sports infrastructure and organisational matters for the upcoming stage.

Officials issued specific instructions to ensure a high-level organisation of regional stages, guarantee transparency and fair refereeing, eliminate previously identified shortcomings, and create optimal conditions for participants.
