Our Taekwondo athletes have secured another medal for Team Uzbekistan at the ongoing Summer World University Games in Germany. This time, Najmiddin Kosimkhojiev won a bronze medal.

The Uzbek athlete, competing in the -74 kg weight category, confidently reached the semifinals but lost at that stage to Brazil’s Vinicius Matos. Nevertheless, Kosimkhojiev stepped onto the Universiade podium for the second time in his career — two years ago, he also won bronze at the Games held in Chengdu, China.

Thus, Team Uzbekistan’s current medal tally stands at 2 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
