At the ongoing FISU World University Games in Germany, Team Uzbekistan has won another bronze medal. This time, our Taekwondo athlete Shamsiddin Kurbonov joined the list of medalists.

Competing in the -58 kg weight category, he defeated opponents from Pakistan, Turkey, and Japan in the qualifying rounds. However, in the semifinals he lost to Thailand’s Siravit Mahamad and ultimately claimed the bronze medal.

Following this result, Team Uzbekistan’s medal count now stands at 2 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
