Taekwondo athletes have also added their first medals to Team Uzbekistan’s tally. Our athlete Madina Mirabzalova has won a bronze medal.

Competing in the -57 kg weight category, Mirabzalova defeated opponents from Mexico, Turkey, and Lebanon in the qualifying rounds, successfully reaching the semifinals. However, at this stage she lost to Brazil’s Maria Pacheco and took third place on the podium.

To date, Team Uzbekistan’s Universiade tally stands at 2 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
