Of course, it is very difficult to write these lines. But the day has come when a living legend, the pride of Uzbek sports Oksana Chusovitina leaves the big sport.
A few minutes ago, at the Ariake Gymnastics arena, Chusovitina performed the last jump in her activity. Despite the fact that she failed to reach the final, she won an eternal triumph.
The performance of Oksana Chusovitina, who took part in the eighth Olympiad in her activity and entered the Guinness Book of Records, was estimated at 14.166 points. Unfortunately, this was not enough to reach the final and the athlete left the big sport under the applause of her fans, coaches and colleagues.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan expresses its gratitude to the honored athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the owner of the honorary title "Uzbekistan Iftikhori", the orders "Dustlik", "Mehnat Shukhrati" and "El-yurt Khurmati" Oksana Chusovitina for her many years of work and believes that in the future, as a coach, she will contribute to the development of sports, in particular, gymnastics in our country.
