The Asian Weightlifting Championships for juniors and youth concluded in Astana, Kazakhstan, with Team Uzbekistan finishing on top in both total medal count and overall team points.

On the final day of competition, medals were awarded in the +86 kg weight class among junior women. Uzbekistan’s lifters delivered a strong finish:

Silver Medals:
+86 kg: Nigora Suvonova (Clean & Jerk, U23)
+86 kg: Nigora Suvonova (Total, U23)

Bronze Medals:
+86 kg: Nigora Suvonova (Snatch, U23)
+86 kg: Mokhinur Esonboeva (Total, U23)

In total, Uzbekistan’s junior team claimed 3 gold, 7 silver, and 20 bronze medals, while the youth team collected 5 gold, 13 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Most significantly, both teams finished first overall in the team standings, ranking highest in both total points and total medals won — a resounding success for Uzbekistan’s weightlifting program on the continental stage.
