Sports Infrastructure in Bekabad District Under Review
The leadership of the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan continues its regional inspections aimed at assessing and improving local sports infrastructure. Today, officials visited Bekabad District in the Tashkent region.
During the visit, the delegation toured several key facilities, including the Bekabad District Sports School, the Central Football Stadium, a swimming pool located in the "Guliston" neighborhood, and the canoeing base of the specialized water sports school, where they reviewed the conditions provided for local youth.
The officials also took part in the opening ceremony of the "Universal Sports School", which was constructed on the grounds of General Education School No. 39 in response to community requests. In addition, they observed local sports competitions held as part of the “Relevant 90 Days” initiative — a campaign aimed at promoting active and meaningful leisure among young people.
As part of the visit, modern sports equipment was handed over to the institutions.
The delegation thoroughly assessed the operations of each facility and offered recommendations on strengthening their technical infrastructure and enhancing the professional skills of staff members.
